![]() ![]() I’ll have to try it myself before selling my third kidney (we have those, right?). I know I am pretty excited about the iPad Pro, especially after reading some of the early impressions about the lag, or rather lack of, when using the Apple Pencil. I just don’t see it happening right now, at least not to the high level of sculpting capabilities that some people would like. That is with an install base of a couple hundred million tablets, now imagine developing mainly for the iPad Pro with an install base of zero. The price tag would be too high for most users and the investment would be to large for a very uncertain return. There is a reason you do not see super complex apps on iOS or Android. If Pixologic were ever to release anything on iOS I would expect it to be somewhere between Sculptris and ZBrush in capability. Plus about $3 bucks a month isn't too bad for Duet Pro, but a little bit of a bummer to pay for artists basics like pressure sensitivity transfer to Windows.Īny other perspectives would be appreciated. There is always a chance … if you remain an optimist But I have a feeling that Apple with interfere with this happening because of the way they often design things for simplicity ahead of better utility (mostly talking about the lack of pencil buttons here) ![]() Which means this bad boi goes back and I wait until this program works on par with a Wacom tablet. Would love to make this setup work, but with Duet pretty much taking on Wacom's years of integration and experience for this, I'm unsure if it will be up to snuff. Anyone play around with this?Ĭan you use the Apple Pencil double tap feature with Windows to get another click from this pen? I often have to use right or middle click in Zbrush to perform an action I was previously able to do on a Wacom easily, but I am unable to with the Pencil. ![]() ![]() Adjusting in the settings seems to create a large blob in the sensitivity at the start. A really hard stroke pressure gives almost no results. The tablet sensitivity is low, particularly in Zbrush. It works OK as a monitor and with Duet Pro I can transfer sensitivity, but I wonder if anyone else has had issues like these using this setup: My old Cintiq Hybrid died a several months back so I was looking for a similar set up (tablet + monitor). Just got an iPad Pro to try out using Duet Display as a tablet monitor with the Pencil Gen 2. ![]()
